Anita Morrison Taylor is a Scottish painter, born in London and raised in the Highlands of Scotland. She now lives and works in Rome. Alongside her artistic practice, Anita is a university lecturer, curator and art consultant. She studied Fine Art Drawing and Painting at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen before completing a Masters in European Fine Art at Winchester School of Art in Barcelona. In 2019, she co-founded the Rome-based creative collective Finestra Temporale. Anita exhibits her work nationally and internationally.
The beauty, light and scale of her surroundings all form part of the dialogue central to her work through the use of colour, gesture, process and material.
Anita Morrison Taylor è una pittrice scozzese. Nata a Londra e cresciuta nelle Highlands della Scozia. Attualmente vive e lavora a Roma. Parallelamente alla sua pratica artistica, Anita svolge attività di docenza universitaria e opera come curatrice e consulente d’arte. Nel 2019 ha co-fondato a Roma il collettivo creativo Finestra Temporale. Ha studiato Belle Arti, con indirizzo in Disegno e Pittura, presso la Gray’s School of Art di Aberdeen, per poi conseguire una laurea magistrale in European Fine Art (Belle Arti Europee) presso la Winchester School of Art di Barcellona. Espone il suo lavoro sia a livello nazionale sia internazionale.
La bellezza, la luce e la proporzione dell’ambiente circonstante sono tutti elementi che formano un dialogo centrale nel suo lavoro, attraverso l’uso del colore, il gesto, la tecnica e il materiale.
